Disclaimer: I've only lived here for the last 8 years on and off, so not fully qualified to answer. I do believe there have been more instances of Asians being attacked/verbally abused post-Covid. I don't hear things like Kung Flu or China Virus coming from very public figures here, but the type of weak minds whom that would attract, all have access to the same internet so locality doesn't really matter at that point. The whole dynamic around racial issues is different here (UK/EU) anyway.
I'm going off topic (ha!) but for anyone interested: I have my own "Bruce Lee" counter going. It's in high single digits in the last 8 years living in the UK/Germany as well as travelling extensively around here. It's when random strangers shout at me across the street, Bruce Lee! It's not particularly malicious, and I'm not hurt by it, but the fact is that it's happening only because I'm Korean-born and I actually do look a bit like him  I would never imagine any normal people in the US or Canada to do that, it's just not something you do. So yeah, different dynamics. |

I am sure there's a lot of racial issues going on throughout Europe due to the mass influx of immigrants pouring into the western European countries. Eastern Europeans, no so much due to them being poor countries with limited social benefits for new immigrants?
