Well, first rid one's self of the idea that fear is a negative emotion, and only comes in a single form.
Fear is the thing that keeps us alive, it keeps the monkeys in the trees, but can also lead the monkey to venture onto the ground, sea and air.

The universal function of fear is to avoid or reduce harm. Depending on what we have learned in the past about what can protect us in dangerous situations, we are capable of doing many things we wouldn’t typically be able, or willing, to do in order to stop the threat.

Fear of not doing something with your life can lead you to college, learn a trade, join the military, or enter the boxing ring.
We can call it ambition, but it's just a form of fear
in my opinion.
