From what I understand Native Americans were divided into tribes. Not all tribes were "friendly" to each other.
Back then there was plenty of room in the country for everyone to spread out.
Much of the violence we are seeing is happening in highly populated cities. Conditions are crowded.
We have "territories" butting up against each other. This is one person's turf. Stay away or suffer the consequences!
