yup. look at the "vinyl resurgence" going on. I laugh when people tell me they discovered such and such a record store (thats been there 40 years) and bought a new record and they cant believe you can still get them. Im like huh? A week hasnt gone by since 1980 that I havent gone to a record store and bought a vinyl record. There have been down times, and times are particularly good right now considering what has become available...but it was always there for those that were interested and wanted it.

Most people are just not interested. And thats ok too I guess.

People either get it, or they dont. I have many friends (all around 50 YO) that once had big music collections and donated all of it because they just dont want to own anything physical anymore and they really dont give a dang about sound quality or the expensive fancy gear

But now it seems the younger generation is discovering that there are fun things to do in life that they hadnt considered or had shrugged off as old fashion...

Does that mean there will be an accordion craze someday? i doubt it

it is true that when guys like this are gone, they are probably gone for good..but it all depends on the subject matter....Model T vs air cooled 911 is probably about the same as accordion vs guitar...the air cooled 911 and the guitar are not going anywhere for a long time
