a horrible 5-months), but I escaped to college, and did not go into the military like my brother and cousin, and also declined an offer to box after I ducked a punch thrown at me in a bar.
Parenting is important, but not the whole story.
Sometimes a young person can step outside of the cast system imposed on them by parents and society, other times these mechanisms are the path to success.
Who's to say what is right, and what is wrong?
