I unplugged the light under the hood. I can always plug in if I need it (or if I start driving the car enough that it does not need a tender).
On my previous 911, I ran a wire from the tender through an existing hole (with grommet) that under the front valence near the fog light wiring.so that I didn't have to open/close the hood. I don't bother with my current cars and just leave the hood down/latched now.
