There isn't much reason not to leave your battery on a modern tender if you aren't gonna drive it for a week, and the frunk isn't air-tight.

The Porsches and some other euro cars are in kind of a different situation for battery charging as in they have the battery located in enclosed spaces. My picture just illustrates the potentials that are there. I wonder what the actual occurrence is, 1 in 10,000-100,000 or 1,000,000?
Do I trickle charge my truck or other vehicles with the hood closed? heck yes, it is all open under the engine compartment and the hoods are not sealed like the Pcars
