It has enough comfort to get my wife to ride with me on a 6,000 mile journey to all the New England states, into upper Maine, Canada, and back home for example.

When the temp is 16 degrees it is real nice to have great heat.

In Savannah, Ga in August with the heat index of 135, Air Conditioning is not just nice to have, it is life support, and my wife asked me to turn the temperature up because she was cold.

Just my opinion, the Carrera 3.2 is the perfect 911. It has the great looks, it is all driver car no nannies, reliable enough and comfortable enough to go anywhere in the lower 48 with paved roads.

Back in 1974 I was at the dealership and saw the first impact bumper 911s, and I said to myself, every other car on the planet looks horrible with the new big mandated bumpers, but the 911, looks better. I know all the long hood fans think that is blasphemy, but I honestly like the look of the impact bumper, and the sugar scoops. As long as I own it, it will have that perfect look.

YMMV

I'd LOVE to have any 3.2L 911 as long as it was in great shape. The brakes were amazing and like you said, didn't really feel like power brakes. The heat and AC (and the controls for them) worked really well (my AC probably didn't work as well as yours does, but I did have the upgraded vents, that I think hit in '86?).

Although, I'm sure that I'd be overjoyed to have ANY air cooled 911 in good shape.
