I've had both the 2X1 and the 2X2 on my 78SC with SSI's and M&K muffler
The 2X1 sounds real nice with no drone.
The 2X2 has some drone in low to mid rpm's.....but it literally screams above the drone area.
For my money...2X2 and keep the engine rpm's over the drone rpms.
