I probably won't mount the door mirror (new OEM one) immediately though. In that case I would have to meticulously search for the mount holes that are bogged up and no time since I'm full on back to work in a week or so til late July. Trying to do some planting before that happens. Yesterday prepped the veggie patch, today it rained. I'm afraid to plant still since we get late frosts at night even in April.
Something, maybe intuition, tells me if I eventually sell the car domestically, there may be an older Japanese gentleman who might be partial to those mousey dog ears. Someone here back in the day put them on there to begin with. It could have been Mitsuwa Motors at the request of the original customer who knows? I'll keep the holes, and the mirrors in a box just in case. Several years ago when I did the saftey inspection at local DMV (Rikuji or Rikunkyoku) a guy I know offered to buy it as is on the spot. I declined then because I didn't have a title. Now I do.
