How much is aero balance compromised when you remove the rear wing?
In 4th or 5th flat out in a sweeper is a rear wing helpful?
After all these modifications I'd be interested in chasing you guys around the canyons (or an AX) in my factory stock turbo look to see where your modified cars gain performance.
It would be a great way to validate all these modifications you've made to your classic Porsche.
Hopefully you can pull a car length here and there on a stock turbo look.
An old video of IROC driver interviews from the first IROC race at Riverside included AJ Foyt blasting the 915.
That made me smile as the same 915 is in my Turbo Look.
A G50 Turbo Look lacks that major component connection to the 911 race car history.
G50 is an improvement (and heavier) and made the 911 easier for anyone to shift.

I believe the M491 Widebody drag was significantly higher. As the 2.7rs vs 3.0rs indicated top speed would indicate. But the 3.0rs where a lot faster because of the extra grip and brakes on a circuit. The factory chooses to race the M491 over NB’s at nearly all races outside of rallying
Frere’s book has the Cd A figures. Personally, I wouldn’t want to tackle turn 8 or 9 at willow springs without tail of some sort. I feel the factory 3,0 turbo tail is too small functionally but I want it for retro appearance. The original 3.0 rubber tail was longer but TUV illegal since it hung beyond the bumper so they were sold with the smaller 930/carrera wing
I remember Olson turn up at an big willow back in 2005/6 with a ginormous barn door home made wing. It had tin snipped sheet metal, tethering wires all sorts of things. But it all worked !
