I have an Italian deli a short distance away that flies in Italian basil from Hawaii. For 10 or 12 bucks, I can buy a huge bag of it. It’s enough to do three or four good size batches of pesto.
I make traditional Genovese style pesto but also I make pestos with walnuts, almonds and other things.
