If you are willing to pull out old nails, go through and make sure there's no twist on the old lumber, that will be fine. Everything takes time. Labor is a lot more then time. Which one are people are willing to burn? Plus, the old lumber may have termites in them. That's not to say new lumber is completely free, but that chance I am willing to take. Its just simple economics.
