CPR Classic is delighted to offer our two-time SCCA National Champion GT3 Cup car. This 2009 Cup car is the definition of a fully sorted, race-ready Porsche GT3 Cup that will compete for wins and championships immediately with its new owner.
CPR first acquired this 2009 GT3 Cup car from Fall-Line Motorsports after the car was fresh off a Championship season with Fall-Line, winning the 2015 SCCA National Championship Runoffs. The car then ran a full season with CPR's racing team CP Motorsports with Sales Manager, Dylan Doherty at the wheel. It secured 6 wins, 8 podiums, the SCCA western conference, and the 2016 SCCA National Championship points title. Two lap records were set, one at Pacific Raceways and one at Buttonwillow Raceway in 2016.
Following the 2016 season, the car underwent a complete teardown and rebuild. The car was disassembled to the tub, and minor bodywork was performed to remove small dents and rash that had occurred over the racing season. All of the car's components were heavily scrutinized before reassembly, and all necessary components were replaced. During the rebuild, the Moton 4-way suspension system was sent out to be dyno-ed for increased setup accuracy for the following season. The gearbox was sent to Bill Raider where a $13,000 overhaul was performed with upgraded components.
For 2017 & 2018, the car only competed in four races, winning three of them and setting another lap record at Buttonwillow Raceway. It also took pole and won both weekend races at Willow Springs in March of 2018.
CPR Classic raced this GT3 Cup in SCCA GT2. The 997 GT3 Cup car is the benchmark car for the class and is highly competitive within the class. With a quality driver, and proper setup the GT3 Cup stands a chance of winning any SCCA GT2 race it enters.
This GT3 Cup is offered with an immense amount of spare parts and tools. This package will include everything needed for the car's first visit back to the track. 4 sets of BBS three-piece wheels are included, as well as one set of HRE forged wheels. The car is fully race prepared and ready to enter its next event. New seat belts were installed in 2018.
