Don't be too surprised. A lot of normal items are back ordered and not on shelves. IDK where that stuff is made, but there are container ships in the San Pedro Bay out of the Port of Long Beach and POLA that won't get to berth until sometime in June. Meanwhile, 1000's of SKU's are literally stuck at sea.
The COVID has worked over the The International Longshore and Warehouse Union (ILWU, which is a misnomer because the union is strictly West Coast) and there is a shortage of union labor.
Which is a bit hard to understand because any given cruise ship will require up to 80 union workers per shift while at dock. All in all, cruise ships are sitting idle.
But really, that's a drop in the bucket when you consider how many containers are off loaded every day and how much labor is involved.
It takes around 10 years to get an IWLU "A" card.
