I was in Punta Gorda a month ago scoping out an investment opportunity.
We stayed in a Marriot Springhill downtown. It was our first hotel stay in a year so we did not know what to expect.
Much the same as described above. No room service, the bar was open which I thought was funny.
Downtown Punta gorda was very busy, restaurants all packed. Found an amazing Irish joint that was as legit as being in Ireland.
Investment opportunity was a bust, it was cool to see another town though.
We have traveled for pleasure this past year using Air B&B's we did a long weekend for our wedding anny last fall in Coco Beach and enjoyed that a lot.
I have a few pleasure trips already in the works for this spring/summer fall. I am over this.
