That was 23 years ago. Since then, I always carry on the farm, always. I have a rifle rack on my SxS Ranger for chrissake. Not loaded, the clip is in the glove box.
The last two were very aggressive and I was very happy to be armed.

Interesting. I hadn't really thought much about that. Our property is not that big, but we definitely have some wildlife and there's no reason that, especially if it was sick, we couldn't end up with rabid wildlife. And we've got an old 11# dog, frequently have 2 and 5 year old boys, and I'm not looking to wrestle with a rabid wild animal, even if it was
just a racoon or something larger. I'll have to make some adjustments.
