My car is an old 1974...... it has 320K (ish) MILES not KM on it......
I've had it for almost 30 years now and I've driven it A LOT.......
in my eyes its EARNED getting cleaned up a bit....... besides it keeps me busy and i enjoy the time in the garage my with my little sons.........
My fan was had a PATINA finish on it as well, until a few years ago when my alternator finally gave up, while the alternator was being rebuilt i had the fan powder coated...... glad i did.
It's not a garage queen and hasn't been babied...... there was a time i wouldnt even think of opening the decklid..... it was a mess in there...... it was shiny then too.... but shiny from oil all over the place... hahaha........
i just try and keep it clean and decompress from a hectic life while in the garage detailing.
