Port Townsend is a place I’d like to visit in the near future. I’d never heard of before, but I started following a couple of wooden boat builds, one of them in PT and the other nearby. I’d love to see the boatbuilding coop there.
I know this is OT, but if you’re at all interested in wooden boat building, the following is a link to the Western Flyer restoration being performed by the coop. It’s the fishing boat John Steinbeck journeyed in 1951 and wrote about in The Sea Of Cortez. It’s a fascinating build:
