To answer the Q about being on the water, nope unless you count the floating docks.

PT's roots go back to the 1850's- a looong time for this corner of the country and the shear variety of beautiful boats is amazing.

The Pygmy Kayak company is/was based in PT too. They have a pretty fantastic wooden boat festival if the rona don't rise... quite the mecca for wooden boat builders, owners and lovers.
