They said they spray painted some text under the south end of each triangle, so we might have a clue as to what end is north and south. The issue is the camera system is physically two different camera bodies. So each click is actually two images, and the camera points in two different areas, and with different orientation. When I am "zooming" in to find the target in each image, I can't really tell which way is up. The computer just takes all the data of the GPS, the two IMUs and the knows what way is north. It will rotate the image to fit where it needs to be, and make a mosaic of thousands of images. This project is going to be extra fun in that we will fly it with two camera systems. Out old tried and true camera system and a new prototype system. We know for certain the old system works. The new one will have it's first real world test and it should go head to head with camera systems on the market from the big boys that cost a million bucks or more.
