Blanket statements like that are how companies with zero engineering know-how make money off of good advertising and marketing.

They understand that the majority of consumers aren't looking for an optimized configuration, they're looking to take someone else's word that they can make "more power" to set their precious project car apart from the rest. Nothing wrong with that of course, the placebo effect is strong and few will ever take them to task for it.

There is however, a small contingent of logical, analytical consumers who have this pesky "Why?" question clawing at the back of their brains and remain on a quest for evidence instead of blind confirmation bias.

There are too many variables to say that one modification or another will make a difference for all applications. Rasta posted a very applicable piece of data that should be considered as one piece of evidence in a complex, multi-variate problem solution to be tailored to the individual user.

Sorry for the rant Much love to all! happy hot-rodding, regardless of your years of experience
