My senior year in high school I had a pretty easy schedule: bowling for zero and first period on Mon-Wed-Friday and gubmint for fourth period. Then I had ROP body shop for the rest of the day.
That gubmint class was mandatory in senior year or I would have gradumacated after my junior year.
So I signed up for a beginning guitar class in third period to pass the time even though I had been playing guitar for years.
One of the songs we had to learn was California Dreaming, just enough to strum the chord progression.
For some reason I really got into that song and practiced it constantly for a couple weeks.
So when it came time to play it as a group in class, I got bored with strumming and pretty much went off on my own.
"Who was that? Who was playing that?"
I had to do some butt kissing to keep from getting kicked out of the "beginning" class.
Doesn't seem that long ago, but sadly the last surviving member of the M&P's is Michelle and she's 76.
