Cleaned multiple times then sand the font worn area of the leather then sponged on several coats of the "Rub n Restore" dye. After I had the coverage and flat finish, I mixed some of their clear conditioner product in with more dye to get make it the proper semi gloss sheen. Really impressed with the results. I have not tried it on any of my vinyl, but I might still do it to my dash where there are a few small holes that if patched would require a complete re-dye as my dye is close but not quite a perfect match to allow partial spot dyeing.
