A tale from my daughter during her high school years. There used to be a youth boxing club in this town...not school affiliated. One of the coach's rules was if in a fight at school, off the team. There was a kid at 135 pounds or so who was darned talented...was being groomed for golden gloves, then olympics maybe? Not to be, but he was good.

Hallway scuffle instigated by one of the football players...one of the teachers broke it up, to be decided in the gym with gloves. Boxing kid called his coach, got an okay...the word spread. Gym full of students at end of the day. Daughter delighted as she recounted the tale..evidently the football player a bully. Football player never touched the trained boxer...school football coach called a stop in less than 2 minutes...didn't want his prize tackle to get seriously hurt.
