Seriously, though, I DO enjoy a nice lawn and wouldn't mind putting in the effort myself if I didn't live in Arizona. It is a nightmare trying to keep good grass here.

I spent 2-3 days in Tempe, AZ once. I think it was July or Aug. "It's a dry heat." Yeah, so is my oven. It's a miracle that you can keep fake grass. What's it made of, asbestos? Rocks and sand, that's all I'd expect to see for a yard there. You don't have to mow rocks and sand, actually, I think it'd be a really bad idea. Problem solved.
