Its old, its been heat cycled many times, Its been driven on, in your case salty crusty roads, its probably trashed by now, and its time for replacement. I do have headers on my turbo, and I do have a nice upsized ceramic coated cat back on my ride, and it smokes stangs and vettes, when it wants to run. My advice to you is, stop worring, shell out the cash for a new exhaust system and be done with it. Its just that easy. Heck, I bet Pelican Parts has your full exhaust system on a shelf in their official warehouse. Forget the headers, because a pro says it stupid, just order one up, and install it and you are done....
