Yes, but the stock 3,2 has more power down low as well as top end, the 3,2 gets 20% better gas mileage, and the engine computer is chip-able...
Just my opinion, but I have had both SC and 3,2 cars. The SC feels lighter and has a more direct feel, but the 3,2's without a bunch of options seem to be a better combination of vintage and modern 911 driving experience. If you want old, get a 65-73. If you want newer, get a 964/993. The sweet spot in the middle for me are the 3,2's. No cold start WUR issues to deal with.
As for price, there doesn't seem like a big difference between the SC's and 3,2 at the moment.
The differences cosmetically are almost zero. Buy the best original condition SC or 3,2 you can find.
