It would work with an adaptor plate, or a correct trans. However a Subaru EZ30 is a much better choice.

Subaru is a smaller, lighter, more compact and MUCH MUCH more reliable engine.

The Subaru design is heavily based on the rock solid Mezger engine, but Porsche M96 basically throws that design away and introduce so many problems like bore scoring lokasil cylinders, ims issues, etc..

I’m going with a built NA Subaru 2.5 in my 912 swap because the weight is comparable to a VW flat-4, so preserves the lightness and handling of the 912, and smaller so I can run hidden radiators under the headlights.
