It's easy to get flustered while co-existing with the general populace - but I always remind myself that there's nothing the other driver(s) can do to take me out of my "common sense" mode.

Meaning - leave the ego in your back pocket where it belongs. Drive like the adult in the room.

It doesn't hurt to select certain times of the day to do your errands when there's less traffic. I do that all the time when picking up provisions or materials. Less traffic in the stores as well.
