The CIS system of the SC compared to the motronic, works on fuel pressure. There is no electrical components. It’s a mechanical FI system designed for performance, not emission standards like the motronic. When the motronic is working, it’s great. But I personally like the mechanical simplicity of the CIS as well as the overall simplicity of the SC compared to the 3.2. I truly believe the SC is the real “sweet spot” in the 911’s evolution as I regard it as the last “true” classic 911, and far more bullet proof and reliable than the preceding generation. If you think about it, the SC was the reason that Porsche decided to continue the 911 model.
