One of the guys that works at the track mentioned he had always been a BMW fan and bought into the “ultimate driving” theme. He said they never see older BMWs form the 80s or 90s on track, and rarely any Beemer older than a few years. Then there Porsches, and guys like me with pretty street cars out there flogging them and they just run and run. One other guy was there with an 85 9
911, but it is gutted, roll cage, twin carbs, modified 3.2 no heat or air, no sound insulation and so on.
Lots of newer Porsches. One corvette threw a serpentine belt and works on it all day so he could drive home.
