Thanks, guys.

This clip was originally shot by Sean Fannin back in April of 2018, and initially it was only available behind the Petrolicious paywall. Now, I think the company has changed ownership and the decision's been made to re-release it. I don't think they did much to promote it, this time around. No one told me about it coming out, for instance.

But I'm happy to see it come out. And I'm still checking the board here, and enjoying the 911 when I can. I'm going to be out at Willow Springs next week, my first time out since getting vaccinated.

During the pandemic, my kids and I took up sailing as a hobby. And that's led to a couple of boats finding their way to the Olsen house. The newer of the two simply won't fit in the garage, but that hasn't stopped me from working on it in there.

Here's a video of our first shakedown run for the new boat, which is a Mariner 19 -- a design which (like the 911) dates back to 1963, and is still in production.

I can't say I love sailing in the way I love the 911. But it's not terrible -- and it's a way to spend time with the kids, so I'll take as much of it as I can get.

Still, I'm a car guy. And one part of the appeal of bringing this particular boat to California was the travel required -- 3,200 miles over three days on the road. I really enjoy long solo drives.
