Help with finding old carb parts

I need help with the brain trust and finding a source for parts for an old edger.

I bought my edger on July 3rd, 1986. The piece of crap carburetor has only lasted 34 years and 10 months and it now leaks.

I suspect it is the needle valve # 09 on the list, part number 53-1200. I can find the parts list, and lost of dealers, but no one seems to have any of the parts I want. I figure if I am going to take it apart, I should get the gaskets, and do a full rebuild. I would settle for a needle valve that does not leak.

So my question, is do any of you guys know of a source for old carb parts like this? I believe it is a carb used on other small engines.

I have just over 1/4 mile of edging to do at my house. Lots of sidewalks, and the edger does great and makes it much easier. I just need a few parts to keep it running.

I tried the local lawn mower shop, and he can't find a source as yet.
