My 2001 986 has a bit of a sag in the headliner above the passenger seat. An inspection of the sag reveals a broken mount at the leading edge (image 1), and the absence of the securing rod and the peg that it goes into above the door (image 2). The driver's side has both the peg and the rod (image 3).
I figure I can glue the forward frame back together and further secure it with duct tape. I was going to cut a coat hanger to length for the wire, but with the peg missing I have nothing to slot it into. Does anyone know if these parts are available? I've checked the parts catalog, but it doesn't reference the headliner much less the mounting parts.
