If your oil level is overfilled or the AOS is not working, it can cause oil to be sucked into the intake and burned. I'd start with an oil dipstick check or the e-dipstick if you don't have an actual stick. The bar should NOT reach the top indicator. If it does, it also will not tell you how much OVER the top mark it is.
If it isn't that, then AOS is likely culprit. (That's Air -Oil Separator)
