The known scammer post is a waste of time because they get a few posts in and then banned. So the name is not what tips you off to them being a scammer, it's the method which is as follows:
Anyone who posts a WTB ad should immediately be aware that they will be sent a PM from a new pelican user saying they have (the copy and pasted) item you are looking for, or a friend has it and here is their number and email.
This is a scammer. Legit buyers have posts here. If they don't, they have posts on early S registry or rennlist and can establish presence in the community. If they can't, ignore.
