My heart goes out to you David, but it seems you got ripped off by the infamous "ian".. at least now i know his last name.. he's been around on the pelican site as well as the rennlist (www.rennlist.org). he was bannned from the rennlist because of his shady deals.

i hope more people read your post who are kinda new to the 914 market, and save themselves the grief.

I'd also write a few strong words on his e-bay feedback forum to save other would-be buyers.
