Agree with this. If you wait until they are officially for sale, you’re too late.
As an example, in the past 5 years:
- I’ve bought two cars off here from people asking what it’s worth. One of them I’m keeping forever. I’m currently buying a 996 GT3 in a somewhat similar situation.
- I’ve bought one from my local race shop, and have had several options offered to me at a different shop.
- I’ve learned about several hidden away ex-DE cars from track buddies (make great hot rods usually)
- someone bought one of my cars at a cars and coffee. I literally went straight from there to his house for cash.
None ever had a for sale ad up
