Some of my most difficult (and annoying) personal failures (and injuries) have come at the hands of cars. But I always regrouped, finished up, and moved on. Either with the car or without. I always enjoyed the completion stage, even if I was so sick of the car I sold it immediately.
I think you should consider fixing your RS and then reassessing.
