LOL! And true. These videos are dangerous to the wallet. For the majority of my life, I was like Marv. Just buy something cheap, toss it when it acted up, or in many cases, I broke it. I'm pretty much still there. There's no logical reason to buy anything beyond the well made quartz watch range of $200 or so. Especially if you're not into watches, which I really wasn't. I bought the Hamilton because I'd scratched the crystal of a Seiko quartz I'd had for 20+ years...the scratch right above the day/date feature, annoying me.

That said, should my Hamilton King Khaki quartz give up the ghost? I might give the exact same watch a go, only this time mechanical. Yeah, I like the dial with it's military styling & readability that much. On the other hand, I'm kind of a stickler for accuracy, so might stick with quartz.
