my ideal life would be to live someone where i could have a brand new cayman with MT that i drive daily and no other car. unfortunately i live in a place that is covered in snow and salt almost half the year and buying a new cayman as a weekend car is way out of my budget.
so, with the 911 long since paid for and basically costing me nothing in the 14 years i’ve had it, i don’t see the point in selling it. even when i’m not using it, which is most of the time, i enjoy just sitting in the garage looking at it.
but them i’m also faced with certain realities. like right now. it’s a beautiful evening here and i’ll be going out to dinner when my wife gets home. why not take the 911? well, the truth is in many ways my GTi is more fun…and so goes this argument i have in my head….
i gues at the end of the day the 911 is not causing me any pain in any way, i’m not desperate for the money, and i love the thing. i truly would miss it
if my 911 was a car with a lot of mechanical or cosmetic issues, no doubt i would get rid of it. but it’s not. it’s treated me very well and never caused me a bit of stress
