If there is any doubt in your mind about the greatness of the United States let me reassure you, it is truly the Greatest Country EVER. That greatness is founded in people from different backgrounds and cultures who come together as one for the common good of everybody.
Today I had the privilege to work with Operation Gratitude to get care packages out to deployed members of the 146th Airlift Wing who are on the front line in the fight against COVID-19.
Operation Gratitude delivered a truckload of “goodies” for our heroes in the field who are administering vaccines, distributing food, and supporting California’s fight against this terrible pandemic.
With the help of First Sergeants and members of the Wing, we assembled 500 care packages to distribute to our deployed members. Among the many items for our dedicated Airmen and Soldiers were snacks, protective equipment, Girl Scout Cookies and hand written letters from grateful citizens from throughout the country.
Having received an Operation Gratitude package myself when I was deployed, I cannot tell you how much it meant to know that my efforts were appreciated back home.
