I wish you would stop thinking this is a downward spiral. For me, it is a mere simplification. Removing clutter from my life. We spend our lives accumulating things, thinking the more stuff we have the happier we will be. The opposite is much more true. I was never happier than when my stuff fit on my motorcycle. I am returning toward that.
