Here in Houston, we have HOV lanes. On many/most, you can get in an HOV if you've got a toll tag/pass. The cost changes the deeper you are into rush hour. If I drive from here to Houston on the weekend and take the toll, I pay $1 total. If I were to do the same thing at the peak of rush hour, I think it would cost $7. I don't think we've got anything on the prices compared to NJ though.
