We have some friends whose daughter has known our daughter since kindergarten. She is like another daughter to us kind of. She now has a son, 18 months old. They have a dog that is very pit bull like. I worry about her son and that dog. I think they got it as a rescue dog. I will admit to hating that dog from the day I met it. It is short and squat and can tear a tennis ball up in no time. I don't trust it, but there's no telling them that.
I once worked with a tech whose son was mauled by a dog as a youngster. She said it ruined having a dog for them as a family for life.
