My wife had a Sulcata tortois that weighed in at 80+ lbs. at the time. We fed him veges on occasion and made it a conscious effort to never get a finger near his mouth. His name was Turbo. I'd call his name to feed him. He'd stop but could't figure out where the sound was coming from. When he'd spot me and hear me, he'd come over. I was surprised a tortois would respond to a sound.
