As part of my kitchen remodel, I am moving one ceiling vent for the AC. I pulled the old duct out of the wall and it is currently masked off and sitting in the attic. I would like to replace with flexible ducting.

I see that they sell it at Home Depot but I'm wondering if this is a good brand or are there better options. This is a simple mod as it is 8" or 10" (I need to measure) by about 10-15'. I want good quality as I am probably going to replace everything in the attic eventually. Probably going to keep the main trunk rigid and then replace all the branches with flex duct.

When I recently had an estimate for new AC, the company told me that I would have to replace my ducting to pass code as my rigid duct is wrapped with asbestos. Just out of curiosity, what does asbestos look like? This looks like the ducts are wrapped in a cardboard type paper.
