Today's list:
1. Finished reassembling the tach & putting it back in the dash (now with a functioning CASIS light - yes, I know, I know...)
2. Reassembled the steering column & ignition switch assembly now that I have the shear bolts (thank you Pelican).
3. Reassembled the steering column switches, housing and steering wheel, reminding myself why it is a good idea to disconnect the battery - the horn is LOUD in a small garage. (Then took off the steering wheel and put it on again after a quick test drive so it was actually on straight.)
4. Because during the above work I noticed some HVAC hoses that were not fully/properly assembled to the dash vents, I fixed those, devising a new tool to align the kick panel lower screws (a long length of coat hangar wire put into the target screw hole before assembling the kick panels - very helpful).
5. Adjusted the parking brake - a real PITA since I had to remove the disks to free up the adjusters.
6. Topped off the A/C charge, reminding myself once again that I have to make a more permanent performance improvement to the A/C. Vent temps 18-20°C (at best) are just not cutting it in a black/black car.
It is NICE being retired and setting my own hours.
Tomorrow I'll probably be spending some quality time with the random orbital polisher.
