We have a B&D trimmer of the old 18v variety that just died after 14 years. I think it is a brush in the motor, but it has served use well and was probably undersized for how we used it. Got a new 20v 2 speed and will see how that goes. Dad has a similar one to our old one and gave him the 5000mAH batteries. On of those will do his yard 3 times before it needs charged again where it would do about 2/3 our trimming needs befor ewe got a gas trimmer to supplement. I don't like using the gas against the play set or fruit trees so the kids use electric on those.

We have a Greenworks leaf blower. It was the most cfm and wind speed for the least money. Haven't had to use it yet but it seems to blow very well in testing.
